just wondering...

I recently had the misfortune of meeting a (pseudo) intellectual, so I got thinking.

Today’s intellectual take pride in being different and lack any sense of responsibility to enlighten others
Are these vain people really intellectual or were they merely at the right place at the right time
Then again my idea about an intellectual is not my own but one I inferred from books, so was this ever a reality! Has a vein, self immersed man with knowledge been called an intellectual all along!?
