I’m with Lucy (2002) [27/50]

Language: English

Cast: Monica Potter, Gael García Bernal, Anthony LaPaglia, John Hannah, David Boreanaz and Henry Thomas.

Story: A Romcom about how a woman goes on 5 blind dates and then marries one. Who is the one is the mystery.

Screenplay and direction: The direction is good but I loved the screenplay and the way the movie was woven

Performances: Monika potter has always been good in such roles, she is very likable. All the boys play their part well. It really doesn’t have much for the boys to do.

Interesting: I saw the movie for Gael García Bernal and he is in the movie for 5-6 mins only. Damn!

USP: Romcom, Feel good, Fun, Romantic, well woven story.

Downside: For someone who is not into romance the movie will be colossal bore, the charecters(specially of the boys) are too unidirectional and unrealistic.

Verdict: Feel good movie, can be watched. 6/10

Safe Haven (2013) [11/50]

Language: English

Cast: Julianne Hough, David Lyons, Josh Duhamel, Cobie Smulders.

Story: Story of a young women running away from her mysterious past seeking a safe haven, where she meets a widower and his children and a love story blossoms.

Screenplay and direction: The direction is good, the screenplay also good but some unnecessary plot twists in the end.

Performances: Julianne Hough is good and looks beautiful the rest of the cast is good too but David Lyons is the best, his performance effects the audience more than anything in the movie.

Interesting: Keira knightly was going to be cast but due to date issues Julianne Hough was cast in the last minute.

USP: Romantic movie, Feel good movie, for the die hard romantics, mystery and suspense are well presented, not boring.

Downside: Predictable, unnecessary plot twist in the end, nothing new.

Verdict: If you are in the mood for some romance this is the movie for you.
In any other mood the movie would be uninteresting. So I give it a 6/10
