Happy today

Just wait till that happens,

Now, wait till you get this.

Be happy on that day,

Till then just delay bliss.

Don’t celebrate this moment,

Good things are yet to come.

Rite now is not the time,

Don’t be so naive and then some.

People bringing each other down,

Like happiness is a crime.

Nothing can jinx the future,

Its greats can not be harmed.

Let yourself beam today,

With the present, be charmed.

Work hard but with a smile,

When people sadden you, just say,

Let me be, oh! Lemme be,

I’m ganna be happy today.

I know all about it all depending on the future and being stuck in a messy situation,

Where any kind of happiness leads to guilt and celebrations of the smallest kind seem premature.

But more than that when I see my life I feel hopeful and joyous, yes, it all does depend on the future.

But I believe I’ll achieve it. I’m putting in all the hard work, there is no reason to get paranoid. I’ll never be 21 again when it’s the month of march, so this unique time of my life and the radiance that surrounds me deserves a smile or two.

As for “what’ll people say”, they are all just as clueless about life as me, weather they know it not. So why take their word over mine.

I’m not going to be one of those, who wait for life to happen.
