Table no.21 (2013) [9/50]

Language: Hindi

Cast: Paresh Rawal, Rajeev Khandelwal, Tena Desae, Dhruv Ganesh

Story: A couple celebrating their anniversary finds themselves in the middle of a game show that promises them a lump of money for doing what seem like harmless tasks.

Screenplay and direction: The direction is okay, the screenplay good.

Performances: Paresh Rawal is good as usual; Rajeev Khandelwal and Tena Desae do fairly well. Dhruv Ganesh was really good.

Interesting: Rajeev Khandelwal has been involved in only interesting scripts looks like his saas bahu days are behind him.

USP: it’s new and has a fresh plot. It’s relatable for the reality show watching audiences.

Downside: In some parts the performances are over the top, predictable dialogues, the esthetics are not always maintained. The flashbacks seem imposed. The unnecessary over exposure by the actress in the beginning is a turn off.

Verdict: It has its highs and lows but overall the movie manages to keep you involved. So I say its watchable, 6/10
